How Much Scope To Get Drunk Owning A Bar/pub In Amsterdam?

Owning a bar/pub in Amsterdam? - how much scope to get drunk

Hello everyone,

I think that has a bar in Amsterdam or the Netherlands in general. He hopes further information, including:

1. What are the costs?

2. Will I receive funding by the bank if I am an American citizen?

3. How can I contact?

4. They are bars, pubs with a profitable company in the Netherlands? This is a recession, then I think everyone needs a drink:)

5. Would it be easier to buy a bar just existing? And it's so easy / easily accessible?

I am planning a trip to Amsterdam this winter, just to reach the place. I went several times as a child, but live has always been a dream for me, in Europe and in the Netherlands corresponds with the description. I hear you speak English pretty well since,The language should be no problem.

Anyone who has business experience own a bar in Amsterdam, please let me know your thoughts. The Internet is very valuable information that I thought it would be worthwhile, some mining, prior to execution of the plan. They know what they say, knowledge is half the battle!

Much appreciated!

I'm no expert in this field to be honest, but a response to similar questions in the past, then I can perhaps give some advice and information

They have a few of the obstacles that are very important.

The first is that, like, American, you can not move to the Netherlands and the problem of immigration. There is a visa for "independent" persons, however, because it would show that the company is a major concern for the Dutch economy, and shown in the official documents that do not apply to cafes, bars and such as. . Learn more about this site and especially http://www.ind.nl/en/Images/4012_VIN_ENG http://www.ind.nl/EN/index.asp ...

Therefore, before investing toolong, please read here and then if you are unsure, ask the Dutch embassy in your area. It makes little sense to make business plans, finding premises, etc., not in a position to legally residing in the country.

Amsterdam is a capital rather modest compared to other countries, and since most of the rest of the country is very densely populated. Following this mean that all buildings (residential and commercial) are in a time very expensive per m2. So do not underestimate the cost of this. Even companies to be honest, in prime locations does not change hands very often. If a company is viable and in a good position, then go ahead and will not be sold. Only companies (places) WHICH flopped available, and you must ask yourself, why not!

So to answer your questions

1. What are the costs? - To be honest, I have no idea that never before in this regard. However, in order to open a business in the Netherlands, with the Register of Commerce and Industry (CVD), and able to help you with this information.

You have pages in English here for information on starting a business in the Netherlands ... http://www.kvk.nl/english/startingabusin

2. Will I receive funding by the bank if I am an American citizen? - There must be a resident in the Netherlands (see above) on visas.

3. How can I contact? - Again, it depends on what kind of bUSINESS where, etc. Call KvK

4. They are bars, pubs with a profitable company in the Netherlands? This is a recession, then I think everyone needs a drink:) Well, yes and no. Once again, it is location, location, location found, of course, a market. What kind of bar you want to be you, are seeking what market you? To be honest, etc. I think you really have no business plan in place if such a question. Therefore, I suggest you come to the Netherlands. Make an appointment with the KVK, and also in the bar on foot / Cafe 's talk, the manager or owner if they are there. Sample, because they are experts on this assumption. Never hurts to ask!

A point is not the languagea problem. Correct people here speak good English at Oxford, in general, and there are many English speaking tourists. However, all transactions (with the vendor, tax returns, registration of business deals, pay bills, etc. are not in English, and can not expect that this is either English. So if you are serious about this, do you at least try to take a course before

How KvK also contact the organization to be one of the CoC initiative http://www.netherlands.org/ the United States.

Amsterdam is a city very comprehensive, many things, including bars. Most bars in Amsterdam, funded by a major Dutch brewers Heineken, Grolsch, Amstel, Brand, etc. .. Perhaps if enough money would be to open a bar without financial support from the World Bank to be a possibility, but then I think, deserve something special to their livelihood. You can try to buy an existing bar, but certainly not the only one trying to. Not to mention, Amsterdam is a popular tourist attraction, with very limited real estate. I am afraid can not give you much more "useful" information.
